I’m also somewhat glad to see that they’ve left out all of the ancestry records. The Christian bible would have us believe that they kept track of the complete lineage of Adam’s family tree well before the written language was even conceived.

So I’m afraid I must award two feathers in your proverbial cap for these two points at least. However, I am finding myself a bit confused as I read the Quran/Koran. I am used to a sequential timeline in my reading and there doesn’t seem to be a proper order in this respect. It seems to be Adam, the original man, being spoken to but mentioned also are “The children of Israel; The Pharaohs, Moses, and the splitting of the Red sea.” Now Adam should have no knowledge of these so as I say, I am a bit confused.

Now if any of you can clarify this for me, I’d be extremely thankful, if not, then maybe it’ll become clear as I read on.

09/11/2011 in Charkh, Afghanistan the bodies of six civilian contract workers are found five days after being abducted by Sunni militants.

09/12/2011 in Maluku, Indonesia six people are killed when machete-wielding Muslims attack a Christian village.

09/12/2011 Sunnis stop a bus carrying Shiite pilgrims and shoot twenty-two of them in the back of the head killing them all.

For those of you that don’t know, Sunnis and Shiites are both Muslims with the Sunnis comprising approximately 90% of all Muslims while the Shiites number only 10%.  Sadly, Osama Bin Laden was in the 90% bracket.

I will still report of the terrorist attacks I find in the news, just not quite as often. While I still watch the evening news everyday, I have cut my world news consumption down to one or two days a week, it’s just too depressing to view each and every day.

The other thing I’m going to talk about today is the fact that something really needs to be done. You can read about these attacks but almost never about retaliations against the perpetrators, many of which have the responsible parties stepping up and taking credit for the terrorist acts. When I use the word “we” in this next section I will not be referring to we Americans, but we humans, the people of Earth.

We need to create a terrorist Policing force. This would have to be a Global force whose sole function would be to seek out and destroy terrorist cells anywhere on the planet. Every country that wished to be a part of this force would support it and supply its personnel. The countries with the largest populations to protect would supply the most and the countries with the least would supply the smallest percentage.

Now I know a lot of details would have to be worked out to form something of this nature, but it could be done. The way I see it, every nation on the planet that doesn’t support terrorism would want to be a part of the force for the protection it would offer along with the promise of retaliation against the terrorists that manage to pull off successful attacks.  It seems to me that the ones that didn’t want to join would be the logical places to start the search for terrorist cells.

But all of this is just wishful thinking, just how many times has the entire world ever worked together for the benefit of the planet? Exactly!

But then we Americans wouldn’t do anything like that, or would we? On the other hand, if we did, would we actually advertise it? If that’s the case I truly hope that we never find out for sure because that would only occur if it had to be used.

One day, I must return to the Big Apple, at least by the time the new complex is complete. I did once get to ascend the North Tower of the World Trade Center back in the eighties, all the way to the top floor. The view of Manhattan Island was incredible and I’d love to see it again from this new World Trade Center Tower.

When I take my children to the new complex I’ll make sure that they understand that not only will America never forget, that many of us will also never forgive.

I can find forgiveness in my heart for much of the violence it the world, all it takes is a basic understanding of why it was done.  With acts of terror, especially of this magnitude, there can be no understanding or forgiveness for the murdering of so many innocents.

On top of all the lives lost that day, to calculate the true cost of this second “Day of Infamy”, one must also factor in all of the families that were broken up and /or destroyed by the loss of parents, children, spouses, siblings, cousins, etc… Even the friendships that were dissolved by the loss of one or the other that morning must be added in as well.

No…there can never be any forgiveness for anyone that had anything to do with that act or were connected to them in any way, shape or form. If there actually is such a thing as an Innocent Muslim and I would’ve been one on 9/11/01, then on 9/12/01 there would’ve been exactly one less Muslim in the world. Because in shame, I would’ve had to find another religion or have none at all.

There are far too many acts of terror being committed by increasing numbers of Muslims and entirely much too frequently for me to believe that they are simply random unconnected events being perpetrated by individual cells of extremists.

As the old saying goes, “I may have ridden into town on a bus, it may have even been in the morning, but it was NOT however THIS morning.

I’ve heard that tale way too often, and from too many Muslims for me to believe it is anything other than a carefully orchestrated propaganda program.

One can only swallow so much propaganda before it begins to leave a bad taste behind and this batch of it is beginning to make me sick to my stomach.

The fact of the matter is that I’m, at long last, finally opened my eyes and what I’m beginning to see, and is that the truth is a complete 180 from what they would have us believe. What my newly opened eyes have found is that the “Standard Mode of Operation” for the Muslim church is in fact terrorism and the small sect that is loudly proclaiming their innocence are simply playing their role by throwing up a smokescreen to blind us from the truth.

What you have to keep in mind is that this is a global operation and if it is viewed from a local perspective, from anywhere in the world, it cannot be seen. This thing, as a stated before, is a carefully orchestrated operation with the acts of terror being committed in different countries around the world giving the appearance of being random isolated events.

There’s another old saying that states, “Nature abhors a vacuum”, and this is true. Nature also abhors randomness as well and will not allow it continually. Complete and total randomness is ALWAYS carefully planned, it’s NEVER naturally occurring.

If anyone out here, no Muslims please, can offer me proof that I’m wrong, bring it on. I do always welcome comments from anyone, including Muslims, just please keep the language and the content Rated PG13.

Today I read about:  

“A car loaded with explosives crashed into the main United Nations’ building in Nigeria’s capital and exploded Friday, killing at least 18 people in one of the deadliest assaults on the international body in a decade. A radical Muslim sect blamed for a series of attacks in the country claimed responsibility for the bombing.”

“Three al-Qaida suicide bombers attacked a police building in Mosul on Wednesday, leveling the building and killing the city’s top commander, who had escaped at least five previous assassination attempts, officials said.”

Also: In Baramulla, India “Two people die from splinter injuries after an Islamist tosses a grenade into a market.” And in: Gombi, Nigeria “Two banks and a police station are the target of ‘Allah Akbar’ screaming Islamsts, who leave at least sixteen innocents dead.” Then in Nowshera, Pakistan “A dozen people at a restaurant are sent to Allah by bombers who hid their device on a child’s tricycle.”

Finally:

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

In his journal, the college student from Saudi Arabia who studied chemical engineering in Texas described a plan to travel toNew York City, place bombs in several rental cars for remote detonation and leave the vehicles in different places during rush hour, according to court documents released Thursday.

“After mastering the English language, learning how to build explosives and continuous planning to target the infidel Americans, it is time for jihad,” or holy war, Aldawsari wrote in the journal, according to the documents filed by prosecutors.

TheJustice Department said Thursday that Aldawsari bought explosive materials online and planned to hide them inside dolls and baby carriages to blow up dams, nuclear plants and Bush’s Dallas  home.

This is utterly preposterous, he admitted in his own journal that he intended to kill thousands of Americans but all we can do to him is lock him up for a few years.

Then, to add injury to insult, comes the inevitable reply, “It is not our religion’s fault, it is only the Islamic extremists doing this, we are not to blame.”

Now I don’t know how crimes are charged in other countries but here in the USA If you are driving a vehicle and a passenger jumps out and robs a store, killing the clerk then jumps back in and lets you carry him away, all without your knowledge, then you are held equally accountable for the crime just the same as the killer.

Well Islam is the vehicle, the extremist is the passenger and lastly, the one denying responsibility is the driver, so like it or not you are responsible. Without you and the vehicle to take him to the store the crime would not have taken place.

The first thing to do when developing a character for a story is to write a thorough description. You need to be able to see the character in your mind if you want to make your readers see them. Go beyond the basic looks, each character needs distinguishing marks, a stance, or a accent in their dialogue, something that will stick in the reader’s mind every time that character comes up. Never over-describe a character, there’s no fine line here but you want to let the reader supply some of the details on their own, this is especially true for your lead character. Many if not most readers like to picture themselves as your leading character, by leaving out some of the details you’ll make this possible for more people.

The second thing to do when creating a character is to write a character sketch. This is where you develop their personality. Write down everything that comes to mind about the character, you never know when the smallest idiosyncrasy or habit from the character sketch may show up in the story line.

Here are a few things to consider when developing a character

What kind of relationship did they have with their parents and siblings or other family members?

What about their obsessions, what some people refer to as pet-peeves? Most people have at least one and knowing what it is can be a big insight into their personality.

What are their vices? Unfortunately everyone has them even if they are well hidden.

Do they have a hobby?

Do they collect anything?

What are they proud of or embarassed about?

What are their talents or strengths?

What are their flaws or weaknesses?

Do they have a favorite color?

What kind of music do they like?

Which is their favorite season or holiday?

Are they open and sociable or shy and withdrawn?

What drives or motivates your character?

What are their hopes and dreams for the future?

What sort of turning points did they have in their life? Was it the death of someone close? A success or failure? A right or wrong decision?

What are they afraid of? Sometime our fears determine who and what we are more so than any other thing in life.

These are only a few examples, any little quirks you can come up with will make your characters more realistic and believable. You want things that your readers will relate to. Most people enjoy the books or stories more if they can see themselves as one of your characters.

The next thing that needs to be done is to write a biography for each character, a history. I find it more useful to write it as an autobiography, from the character’s point of view. This is extremely important if you are to make them believable in print. Whenever possible, I use someone I know as a base for the character. I’ve found that doing this will make them seem more realistic, it tends to give them an authentic flavor as it were.

Another method that some writers use when developing a character is to do an interview with each character. A good session of questions and answers will often give you more depth into the personality of the characters, one that you wouldn’t get any other way. The best way that I have found to conduct the interviews is what I refer to as the “Rapidfire” method. This is done by writing without stopping to think or edit. I always use a pen and paper just as if I were interviewing a real world person, you can type it and worry about spelling later. Don’t prepare the questions in advance either, let the answer you get to one question determine what your next question will be. Let the character answer each question with the first thought that comes to mind without censoring. Have fun with it, this in and of itself is not a great work of literature, you’re just getting to know your characters.

I’ve always found that drawing up a character tree showing how all the characters relate to and interact with each other helps to keep me from making drastic mistakes and overlaps. If you have only three or four characters this is probably superfluous, but if you have a lot of characters as I do in most of my stories it is an indispensable tool.

In conclusion; always remember, the more real a character is to you, the more real they will be to your readers.

When you Visualize something you are essentially seeing something that is not there of not there yet, which happens to be exactly what you are doing when you fantasize.

One could state that Visualizing is mainly a visual or seeing event, where as Fantasizing CAN and frequently DOES incorporate all or most of the senses. In  that light, you could say that Fantasizing is a more advanced form than the more simple, Visualizing. I guess it’d be sort of like comparing Chess to Checkers. They are both the same basic game with one being much more complex than the other.

The same goes for other types of artists as well. If they are sketching, drawing, or painting a picture, then they must see it first. If they are composing a musical number, then they must hear it first.

Any form of art must first be created in the mind, the artist then simply duplicates it in the physical world so that the rest of us can enjoy it as well.
